The furniture was designed to be installed as center-pieces in two reception areas of an office building in central Limassol. The project was geometrically rationalized and computationally modelled by SEAMLEXITY to automate the production of its structural elements. The subcontractor was provided with a set of 2D drawings for all wooden parts to be fabricated using a CNC machine. The entire wooden puzzlelike substructure was divided in smaller components as to facilitate transportation and on-site installation. All components were assembled in place and became a permanent formwork used for in-situ forming of the Corian final surface. The finished products forms a welcoming surprise for the visitors while smoothly channeling and regulating circulation in the both entrance lobbies.
